Author & Reader events: Public Discussions on Interesting Read (21. 10. 2016)
Eagle Glassheim introduces his book about the abandoned post-war Borderlands.

The Parliamentary Library welcomed the very first guest of starting Author & Reader events focusing on introducing authors and their currently discussed titles.

On 20 October 2016, Eagle Glassheim, Canadian Professor of History from the University of British Columbia presented his book Cleansing the Czechoslovak Borderlands.

Those who took part in the event - participants ranging from The Parliamentary Library and Archives employees, representants of The Institute for the Study of Totalitarian Regimes and Institute of the Contempporary History as well as students - had a great opportunity to acquire a very intriguing insight into the question of homeland’ s quest in the Czechoslovak Western Borderlands in years 1945 – 89, with reference to the Central European context.

The event having been highly welcome and appreciated, The Parliamentary Library is looking forward to another part of Author & Reader event to come.
