NewsInternational Seminar for Parliamentary Infromation Specialists from V4 countries (20. 6. 2017)
On 15 and 16 June 2017, information specialists and researchers from the parliaments of the Visegrad Group countries gathered in Prague on the occasion of the specialised seminar held in the Chambre of Deputies.
The Parliamentary library hosted the Seminar for Information specialists from the Parliaments of the so called Visegrad Group countries. Besides traditionally participating librarians who have regularly shared their expertise namely thanks to the common web portal "Visegrad Digital Parliamentary Library", the Seminar was newly attended by researchers representing other specialised departments of their national parliaments.
The meeting aimed at opening the discussion to a larger group of specialists who may share their expertise an best practice with their international partners from V4 parliaments. As a result, delegates from parliamentary libraries, research divisions, documentation and PR services agreed on specific steps to be taken in order to update and enlarge the common Visegrad Digital Parliamentary Library portal. Its modernised version would enable effective information exchange among users from various parliamentary departments and offer an easy and comprehensive list of literature covering the topics related to V4 to external users.
The seminar was attended by experts from the Parliamentary library, Archives and Parliamentary Institute of the Chamber of Deputies and by delegates of releated parliamentary departments from Hungary, Poland and Slovakia.
The following seminar will take place in the first half of 2018 in Budapest.
