The Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Radek Vondráček took part in the meeting of the Visegrad Group in Budapest4. 12. 2017
Radek Vondráček undertook his first official journey to an informal meeting of Speakers of Parliaments of the Visegrad Group which took place in Budapest on 30 November and 1 December. The main topic of the negotiations was strengthening of the role of national parliaments in the activities of the European Union and potential enlargement of the Union.
In his speech Mr. Vondráček pointed at the symbolic value of the fact that his very first cross-border activity was related to the Visegrad Group event which he found to be a very effective instrument in the strive to represent the common standpoints of the Central European countries in Brussels. He presented to the Speakers of Slovakia, Poland and Hungary the current issues in the newly elected Chamber of Deputies and outlined its foreign policy priorities.
