REFERENCE CENTER FOR EC LAW |
|
|
The need to bring Czech law into line with that of the EU and the increasing interest in European Community issues are the reasons behind the establishment of the Centre for European Union Law. This was made possible only after funding and expert assistance was received from the PHARE program during the years 1994 - 1999. The choice of books and journals was made in conjunction with the Parliamentary Institute and in consultation with legal experts and library specialists of the Asser Institute in Haag. The Centre for European Union law as a part of the Parliamentary Library is located in the building of the Chamber of Deputies. At present it holds about 300 books, most of which are of a legal nature. It subscribes to the Official Journal of the EC, Reports of Cases Before the Court of Justice and the Reports of Cases Before the Court of the First Instance of the EC. It offers access to databases on CD-ROM:
